Courts across six counties will close early Monday for the solar eclipse.
State courts in Onondaga, Oswego, Oneida, Lewis, Jefferson and Herkimer counties will have limited access starting at noon, according to an alert from the New York State Court System.
Courts will remain open for arraignments and emergency criminal matters. Other emergency matters will be handled virtually.
The closure only applies to state courts. Residents will have to check with local town, village or federal courts for more information on potential closures.
